Javascript and Jquery basics
The first course program focuses on the JavaScript programming language, outlining the basics of programming in JavaScript: the grammar; working with data structures; prototype-based, objective-oriented aspects of JavaScript; functions and functional programming; processing exceptions; applying regular expressions; features of a good programming style; code unit testing and parts to avoid.
The program is closely based on “JavaScript: The Good Parts” by Douglas Crockford.
The second part of the program is based on the most popular JavaScript tool of today – jQuery. You will be introduced to the basics and more advanced techniques of using the tool, and finally with jQuery UI, a tool we use when we need ready UI solutions, such as calendars, tooltips, etc.
