Necessity of innovation and creativity for improvement of business processes
One of the biggest IT events, IBM InterConnect, was recently held in Las Vegas. Our colleague Vedrana Miholić wrote an excellent conference report where she highlighted five trends that got a lot of attention on the conference. They were Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Security Initiatives and Social. And the Social element is the one which became a key driver for improving innovation and creativity by collecting and sharing ideas which generate value to an organization striving to succeed in the dynamic environment of the new IT era.
Many global studies have shown that organizations employing highly motivated people, individuals who care about the success of the company they work for, are more successful. Every employee on any position can significantly improve and speed up the workflow and business processes if they continuously think about the improvement of operation. The CROZ Social Business platform Like My Idea, which was recently adopted at Avnet Services UK, is a solution that has primarily been devised to encourage a more active involvement of employees in their work environment, whether by putting ideas forward, voting for them, commenting on the ideas, and expanding them or by keeping up with developments in the organization. The upcoming CROZ QED conference also decided to explore the evolution happening in the IT industry that is constantly changing. Because of the change, new tools, methodologies and approaches are appearing each day. Taking into account that creativity and innovation aren’t things which happen accidentally and which shouldn’t be left up to individuals, building an environment that motivates them is one of the key challenges of every organization.
