Croatia osiguranje - System for scanning and document management
CROZ enabled the client a complete centralized solution for document archiving, which is fully integrated in the existing IT infrastructure.
Because of the importance of fast resolution of cases, good accessibility of mentioned documents within the organization is of essence. That is why the goal was to implement DMS and a web application for scanning, archiving and overview of the documents that will integrate with the existing Croatia osiguranje business applications. The new system fully satisfies the business demands and is very easy to use.
In IT infrastructure of Croatia osiguranje, the largest insurance company in Croatia, CROZ has successfully implemented a centralized system for scanning, archiving and document management based on a version of Alfresco Enterprise.
The feature of this version is the open-source code, which secures the client full control over the long-term security investment, and application servers. CAS (Content Addressable Storage) mechanism for archiving information has many advantages over the standard file system, since it does not archive the files in usual folders but addresses them according to a hash generated from the file content, giving the file a unique identity and eliminating the possibility of two copies of the same file.
With this project, CROZ enabled the client a complete centralized solution for document archiving, which is fully integrated in the existing IT infrastructure. Taking into consideration that the process of insurance sales and claim processing encompasses collecting of various documents, it is important that they are easily accessible. That was achieved with a web application for scanning, archiving and overview of documents. And in the end, satisfaction of the client was achieved by implementing this system.
