Platform engineering Course Introduction
This course covers the building blocks of modern platform engineering: Docker containers, Helm package management, Kubernetes orchestration and GitOps methodologies. Participants will create container images through interactive labs, configure Helm charts for repeatable deployments, and design resilient Kubernetes environments. The training also introduces GitOps principles, featuring Argo CD for automated, declarative continuous delivery. By the end, attendees will be prepared to architect and operate cloud-native platforms and implement robust GitOps workflows for their cloud-native applications.
Who Should Attend?
- Software engineers, DevOps teams, and SREs who want a holistic understanding of container-based platforms.
- Professionals responsible for creating and managing Docker images, Helm charts, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Anyone looking to design resilient, scalable cloud-native architectures.
- Anyone interested in adopting GitOps practices and integrating Argo CD for continuous delivery
Prerequisite Knowledge
- Basic command-line usage on Linux or similar operating systems.
- Familiarity with container concepts (e.g., Docker run, build).
- Elementary understanding of YAML syntax and configuration files.
- Exposure to version control (Git) concepts is highly beneficial
