In this special episode of Walk your Talk, Vedrana’s and Miri’s guest is Michael Heiss, joining us for a reflection on QED 2026! QED is CROZ’s international BizTech conference that brings together business leaders, technologists, scientists and creatives to discuss the ideas shaping our future.
Together, we look back at some of the most thought-provoking moments, sessions and conversations from this year’s edition of QED, held under the theme “Collective”.
One of the strongest messages of the conference was that technology challenges are no longer purely technical problems, but deeply human and organizational ones that require collaboration, trust and shared responsibility.
The discussions around AI moved far beyond hype and focused instead on the real-world impact of AI on companies, decision-making, governance and the increasing difficulty of separating signal from AI noise in a hyperconnected world.
A recurring topic throughout the conference was the importance of healthy disagreement and open dialogue, especially in a time when public discourse often becomes simplified, polarized or optimized for algorithms instead of understanding.
The conference also explored Europe’s position in the global technology landscape, touching on digital sovereignty, regulation, infrastructure independence and the challenge of staying innovative while protecting societal values.
Finally, many sessions returned to the idea that in a world increasingly shaped by automation and AI, human judgment, experience and “skin in the game” may become more important than ever.
