IBM ISIM & CrossIdeas Event held in Ljubljana

Yesterday at the IBM Innovation Center in Ljubljana the IBM ISIM & CrossIdeas event was held by CROZ. The topic of the event was identity management.

Igor Sokač from CROZ held a presentation consisting of updates on the IBM Security Identity Manager and IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager solutions, which enable quick and simple implementation as well as benefitting user experience in work. Particular review was given to the ISIM and PIM Virtual Appliance, which offers for new (but also for old) users of IBM Identity Management a crucial step forward in simplifiying implementation and maintenance.

Marco Venuti from IBM Italy held a presentation on updates in the IBM security portfolio – IBM Security Identity Governance (ISIG). ISIG presents a leading Identity Governance solution (it became a part of IBM following the acqusition of CrossIdeas, a company that CROZ collaborated with before the acquisition), which enable risk management tied to identities, with special emphasis on Separation-of-Duty, Role Mining, access request management and Access Recertification campaigns.

This was followed by a very interesting demonstration of the technology in which everyone present was convinced of how easy it can be to automate and visualize identity management processes with the help of ISIG, for which is not even vital what Identity Management solution is being employed in the user environment.
