The 10th Conference of procurement was held yesterday in Zagreb. Among many speakers, Krešimir Musa, director of consulting and implementation services in CROZ spoke about the role of social networks in procurement, as well as lean trend in business.

In his presentation, Musa pointed out that enterprise social networks can be used in the procurement process to improve communication, transparency and innovation. Commenting on lean management principles, he stressed out that in lean management focus is on the value. Lean puts focus on quality and this leads to business social networks that enable us to talk about it. This is not about Facebook, Twitter and similar networks, but about the application of social technology in business processes of procurement.

Social networks motivate participants, increase transparency and knowledge and are suitable for introverted people like is most in IT (the audience confirmed that the situation is similar in procurement), concluded Musa.
