Alanna Brown on 2020 State of DevOps Report

          clock1 minute read

Alanna Brown is Sr. Director Marketing at Puppet and a person standing behind the State of DevOps Report from the very beginning.

I talked with Alanna about key insights from the latest 2020 State of DevOps Report but we also touched upon the past and how the report came to life, a story that few people are familiar with.

Ivan: Alanna, what correlation did you find between DevOps evolution and the usage of internal platforms?

Alanna: So the whole goal of platform teams is enabling application development teams to move at their own pace. And what we found is that use of internal platforms is actually pretty high, something like 63% of respondents said they have at least one or more internal platforms. It was strongly correlated with DevOps evolution. As organizations evolve, the more likely they are to have a high usage of platform teams.
