VMware Workshop Introduction
This course provides a strategic roadmap for organizations seeking to reduce or eliminate their dependency on VMware infrastructure. Participants will explore leading alternative platforms such as Nutanix (a hyperconverged infrastructure solution with an enterprise-grade AHV hypervisor) and OpenShift Virtualization (enabling virtual machines to run alongside containers on Red Hat OpenShift).
The course includes cost modeling, performance and operational comparisons, as well as best practices for migration planning. Participants will also understand how platform choice can support digital sovereignty goals, including the potential migration to European and national sovereign cloud providers.
Through hands-on guidance and strategic insights, attendees will learn how to plan and execute a smooth transition while maintaining business continuity and optimizing long-term infrastructure strategy.
