For the 20th edition, artists are invited to respond to the theme Error.
The selected artwork will be printed as a 12 × 4.80 m banner and installed on the facade of the CROZ headquarters in Lastovska Street. It will be visible from the junction of Avenija Marina Držića and Slavonska Avenue from December 2026 to June 2027.
Theme: Error
We live in an age of information overload that demands constant, instant judgment. The more we are expected to know, the more often we reach the limits of our knowledge, and with them, the possibility of error.
This year’s theme invites artists to see error not as failure but as a starting point: resistance to the expected, the predictable, and the given. Can a mistake, or even silence, become a way to discover something new? As Paul Cézanne believed, art lies in error.
Technical Specifications
Artists may submit an unlimited number of sketches in the proportions of the final poster (12 m height × 4.80 m width). On A4 format, this is 29.7 cm × 11.8 cm.
The selected artist will create the final artwork on A3 paper (42 cm × 16.8 cm). It will be scanned and printed as a banner for the facade, and the original will be displayed in the CROZ offices.
