The CROZ Facade Gallery continues to redefine how art interacts with everyday life, transforming the building’s exterior into a living canvas that mirrors the rhythms of the city.
For its 8th edition, the gallery presented Lav Paripović’s large-scale photographic installation titled “Metamorphosis (Metamorfoza)” – a striking visual reflection on urban transformation and collective identity.
Paripović’s work portrays the façade of a typical residential building, an emblem of Zagreb’s postmodern architectural landscape. Through subtle tonal shifts and a collage-like texture, the piece explores how the passage of time reshapes both our physical surroundings and our perception of them. The familiar apartment windows and faded colors serve as metaphors for memory, continuity, and change.
“Metamorphosis” captures the poetry of everyday structures – a meditation on the coexistence of permanence and evolution that defines urban life.
