Theme: Source of Light
For the 18th edition of Facade Gallery, created in collaboration with the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU), the CROZ façade becomes a quiet place of pause. Suzana Horvatić’s Sklad Suprotnosti does not compete with the city around it. Instead, it offers something rarer, a moment of inner stillness in the middle of movement.
Harmony begins within
As Horvatić writes in her portfolio, “If we want to change the world around us, we must first find harmony within ourselves.” Her work grows from this idea. Through a visual connection between mind and heart, the painting speaks about balance that emerges when we accept our own contradictions and allow reason and intuition to exist side by side.

Lighting the light
The artist’s message is gentle but firm. “The world does not change by fighting darkness, but by persistently lighting the light.” In her artwork, light is not something external or dramatic, it is something earned through authenticity, self-acceptance, and love. From that inner harmony comes the strength to open dialogue, offer warmth, and soften division.
From canvas to city
Originally created as an oil painting on canvas, Sklad Suprotnosti retains its intimacy even at monumental scale. The figure appears calm and protected, gathered inward, while light quietly radiates outward. On the façade, the painting feels less like an image and more like a presence, steady, human, and quietly reassuring.
About the artist
Suzana Horvatić, working under the name ZanaSuArt, creates figurative works rooted in emotional honesty and inner states. Her concept Sklad suprotnosti explores how opposing forces within us are not obstacles, but the source of growth and beauty when brought into balance.
On view in Zagreb
For the next six months, “Sklad Suprotnosti” will overlook Zagreb from the CROZ building, offering passersby a moment of calm and a simple reminder that real change begins quietly, from within.
