Helena Klakočar: untitled work on the importance of harmony between ecology and technological progress
The inaugural edition of the CROZ Facade Gallery set the foundation for a project that would transform Zagreb’s cityscape into a living dialogue between art, technology, and community.
The first artwork, an untitled piece by acclaimed Croatian artist Helena Klakočar, immediately established the gallery’s tone – thoughtful, visually striking, and deeply human. The mural features the silhouette of a person in profile, from whose head sprout delicate green branches and leaves. The imagery captures a poetic fusion of organic and intellectual growth, symbolizing the balance between human innovation and the natural world.

Klakočar’s minimalist yet evocative composition reflects on the interdependence of ecological awareness and technological progress. Rather than opposing forces, the artwork suggests that both nature and technology can coexist harmoniously when guided by consciousness, empathy, and imagination.
As the first piece to adorn the CROZ façade, it marked the beginning of a long-term artistic experiment – one where each new work would add another layer to the conversation about our shared environment, both digital and physical.
