CROZ & HDLU’s Facade Gallery continues its mission to bring contemporary art to the public with the unveiling of the 13th artwork, created by Klara Rusan.
“Free Theme” by Klara Rusan December 2023 – April 2024
Since 2018, CROZ has partnered with the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) to bring art to the public and enrich the work environment at the CROZ headquarters in Zagreb. Twice a year, the facade of our building is transformed into a large-scale canvas, replacing advertising visuals with art that engages the community.
Located at the busy intersection of Avenija Marina Držića and Slavonska Avenija, the CROZ facade, measuring 12 x 4.8 meters, serves as a cultural landmark visible to thousands of commuters daily. This initiative has already featured 12 stunning artworks by various Croatian artists, each exploring different themes and creative expressions.
The Latest Artwork: “Free Theme” For the 13th edition, Klara Rusan presents her piece under the free theme. Her work, unrestricted by any specific concept or formal requirements, reflects her unique artistic vision and creative freedom. With this approach, the artist invites viewers to engage with the piece on a personal level, encouraging subjective interpretations and diverse readings of her art.
The “Free Theme” gives the artist complete autonomy, making it a celebration of creativity in its purest form. The resulting artwork invites contemplation and open-ended discussions about the relationship between art, the artist, and the viewer.
The artwork has been enlarged and printed onto a 12 x 4.8-meter poster, which now adorns the CROZ building facade. It will be on display until April 2024, adding vibrancy and thoughtfulness to the cityscape.
